According to a survey it was observed that A man can normally touch 30 things around him and it also included those things which has germs on it such as light switches, door handles, Telephone, T.V remote etc. These things are homely used items and you can save these things from germs but consider those things which are not in your control such as when you go outside for shopping, having lunch or to a doctor. In such case what will you do . . . ? Today let’s talk about some of the most dangerous places having lot of germs
Restaurant Menu’s
In any restaurant have you seen any one nice enough to wash his hands before touching the restaurant menu? I guess no. According to an article by medical virology it is discovered that germs of different disease mostly Flu can survive on hard places up to 18 hours. If you go to any famous restaurant then the printed menu they present to you have passed through many people hands. So always take care before touching the menu cards and always wash your hands after touching the Menu card.
Slices of Lemon
According to a report by the journal of environmental health sciences it was found out that the 70% of lemon slices used for decorating the glass of juices, wine and other drinks contains germs. The researches of this article conducted a research in 21 different restaurants. They orders glasses of different drinks and saved the lemon slices. Then after the laboratory test it was found out that there were germs of 25 different species on them including the germ known as E-coli found in human stool. Therefore if you go to any restaurant for having a drink always tell the waiter or the server not to use lemon slice on your drink.
Washroom Handles
Let’s ask yourselves a simple question. Is it possible to use a public toilet or washroom with out touching its doors and handles? The answer is no. It is a very troublesome thing that most people don’t take any notice while using public washrooms and toilets therefore there is a great danger that the people might get some dangerous disease. So it is very important for us to use a paper towel for opening the doors the bathrooms.
Soap Dispenser
The soap dispensers in Public toilets contain 25 different species of germs mostly among which are found in the stool of human beings. It is a worryingly fact that these soap dispensers are not cleaned or washed their whole life therefore you can imagine how many different types of germs are waiting for you in these dispensers. Now the question arises how to prevent our selves from germs. The simple solution is that after using soap dispenser, wash your hand in hot water for about 10-20 seconds and it would be better to wash the tap of the washroom because it also consists of many germs.
Shopping carts
In 2007 some researchers from the university of Arizona tested the shopping carts in different stores and shopping areas and it was found out that 2/3rd of the carts have germs on them. There fore if you want to use Shopping carts remember to clean thin with an antiseptic or the much better solution of this problem is to use a glove.
Bathrooms of Airplanes
When research was made about the availability of germs on airplanes than it was found out that the numbers of germs on airplane toilets are far more then a traditional public toilet. The germs in an airplane lavatory were found every where i.e. doors, tap etc. It was found out in that research that the chance of getting diseases increases by the rate of 100% in an airplane. So we have to take measures to prevent ourselves from these germs
Clinics
Another place where you have to cope up from a lot of germs is the clinic of a doctor. The thing is that a clinic is always full of different patients having different diseases therefore the chances of getting a germ are very high. Therefore always take different precautions in a clinic such as
- Don’t unnecessarily touch the magazines news papers and other reading material from the waiting room.
- Always bring your own tissue paper and also keep a hand sterilizer in your bag.
- Keep a distance from the other patients so that you are exposed to germs.
By acting upon these simple instructions we can live a happy and a healthy life. Always remember our fate is in our own hands, don’t let it destroy by your own hands.
