Good buy for a wireless.September 2, 2010 C. J. Dorton(VA.) I recently purchased this keyboard on a whim.
It's very easy to set up, which involves simply inserting the small USB dongle and (at most) a reboot.
The layout and key response is exceptional, with absolutely no dropped keys or "flaky" issues one tends to see with wireless devices.
It's nice and "clean" looking, no extra crap that apparently all manufacturers are chomping at the bit to cram into, and onto, every device.
I cannot comment on battery life as I've not had it long enough to test.
Side notes:
The keys are very "springy," feeling almost mechanical in nature, which results in a rather pleasant clacking noise and a very good feel with rapid typing.
Some OS installations will not detect USB keyboards or similar during initial steps of installation.
This is easily remedied by turning on "USB Legacy" in your systems' BIOS. (Check motherboard website, manual, or Google it.)
Excellent keyboard, comfortable, compactAugust 25, 2010 M. Smith(Virginia, USA) I bought this keyboard to use with my existing Logitech wireless mouse and USB adapter, and I'm very satisfied. Key feel is springy and responsive, the layout is excellent, and the size is very compact and slim. I've had it about a six weeks, so I can't comment on battery life yet, but installation was a cinch. "Installing" the keyboard was as simple as turning it on - the adapter automatically recognized it and I started typing immediately with no problems.
As another reviewer noted, the keys have a red background. When I first read this, I thought that meant it was back-lit - it's not. The surface behind the keys is just red, which actually makes the keys visually stand out very nicely.
Another reviewer noted that this keyboard doesn't have a place to store the USB adapter, but I found that there's a little slot for it where the batteries belong. The drawback is obviously that you'll have to remove the battery cover whenever you want to put the adapter away, but I leave it stowed and use the shared adapter from my mouse. Definitely a real plus with these Logitech products! Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking for a compact full-function wireless keyboard, but especially for anyone already using other Logitech devices.
Very Happy With This KeyboardAugust 23, 2010 Kleiner(Hudson Valley, NY) I like the smaller form factor but most importantly I really like the way it shares the same usb dongle with the Logitech wireless mouse I purchased with it. I can't judge battery life as i've only owned it for less than a month but I use it everyday and it hasn't let me down yet. Once in a while there is a little delay. I'm not sure but I suspect it's a result of the keyboard putting itself in power save mode or something after a period of no keystrokes and then waking back up. Well worth the money I spent on it.
K340 Keyboard Use ReviewAugust 9, 2010 Choctaw I had to purchase 2 other keyboards before I found this one. I say it is OK because it is not quite as comfortable as the one I was used to. The space bar is long enough but not wide enough. Sometimes I have to strike the space bar more than once because it doesn't stand quite high enough to work with my right thumb. Overall I think it could be a little longer because the keys seem to be crowded.
